Stampede Must-Haves

1. Cowboy Hat

Perfect for both western style and keeping the sun out of your face!

2. Portable Charger

Your phone probably won’t last all day, and outlets are hard to find, so bring a portable charger, especially if you’ll need to book an Uber home. Linked is the portable charger that I have and love, because I don’t need to worry about bringing a charging string and it can directly charge into the wall!

3. Sunscreen

Calgary is the sunniest city in Canada. Remember to protect your skin! I linked my favourite sunscreen brand that is lightweight with no white cast.

4. Water Bottle

Water can get expensive at the Stampede or the lines to buy water can be long. It’s best to bring your own reusable water bottle because it will get hot and you will need to hydrate.

5. Comfortable Shoes

You will be walking or standing all day. Make sure to bring comfortable shoes or boots and that they have been broken into already. Do not wear cowboy boots that you just bought a week ago
Linked are shoes that I bought for long walking days and once I broke them in, I never had a single foot ache! I also did my research beforehand and saw that a lot of nurses wear the Lululemon Chargefeels, which says a lot.

6. Crossbody bag

I love wearing my crossbody bag because I know my belongings are safe and my hands are free so that I can eat, take photos, and dance! Hands-free is key for snacks, selfies, and hanging onto that corn dog.
